About Us
Located just 20 minutes from Ballarat on the road to Geelong, Lal Lal is a charming community with a warm and welcoming spirit.
Since 2013, every year, on the last Sunday of October, we come together to host our much-anticipated market.
Our market is a vibrant celebration of local produce, crafts, delicious food, and lively entertainment suitable for all ages.
Whether you're a resident or a visitor, there's something here for everyone to enjoy.
- A variety of inside and outside stalls
- Entertainment and activities for all ages
- A unique opportunity to connect with our community
We are a non-profit organization run by a dedicated group of local volunteers. All funds raised from the market go directly back into supporting and enhancing our community.
Our market is more than just an event—it's a reflection of the creativity and heart of Lal Lal.
We look forward to seeing you at the market!

Frequently Asked Questions
When do applications open?
We like to open applications end of Aug/ start of Sept each year.
Previous stall holders are notified first.
New stall holders can apply at any time, but will be approved once we hear back from previous stall holders.
What is the cost?
Free entry,
$35 per stall for businesses that are approved via the application.
Can I pay stall fee via cash ?
We don’t accept cash anymore as we have had many past stalls not show, leaving us with gaps in our market, and short on funds for insurance, entertainment, and other sundries. As we are a non-for profit event all funds go back into the market . The fees associated with payments are something we can’t absorb.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, but they must be on a lead at all times. Your dog, your responsibility.
Please watch them around young children, around the petting zoo & pick up after your dog if they make a mess.
No dogs allowed in the hall unless picked up. Guide /assistant dogs being the exemption.
Is the market pram/ wheelchair friendly?
Our hall is accessible for the above yes.
Our outside stalls are located in a paddock. The ground is well maintained but it would be advised someone help you in your wheelchair. There can be some rough patches.
To access the car boot sale at the school, there is a footpath leading you there.

Our Telstra tower struggles with the large amount of people there on the day,

Yes, the plan is to have this happen each year. It is run by our local Lal Lal Primary School.
